How to reduce clothing dye transfer on WMDoll surfaces
A simple garment and storage checklist based on the manufacturer’s care notes.
Check the garment before use
The WM shop cautions that dyes from clothing can transfer onto the surface. Review the care instructions for the specific material and finish. Wash a new garment according to its label and let it dry thoroughly. Test for color transfer before leaving the fabric in contact with the model for a long period.
Look at seams and accessories
Pay attention to darker trim, elastic, zippers and hard decorative parts. These can contact a small area under pressure. Select a fabric and fit that allow you to dress and remove the garment without dragging hardware across the surface. Keep the seller’s instructions for any finish-sensitive areas.
Inspect after changing clothes
Look at contact areas under neutral light and record any new mark promptly. Note the garment, color and time it was in contact. This makes it easier for the seller to identify possible causes and recommend a suitable response for your specific surface.
Store with approved materials
Ask the seller which protective fabrics and support surfaces are recommended. Keep dark or untested items away from prolonged contact, and avoid stacking heavy objects against the model. Save a short record of fabrics that have worked well for your configuration.
